POSITION: Filing Clerk (Temporary)

LOCATION: YTT Main Office

REPORTS TO: Office Manager

WAGE RANGE: $22 per hour

EMPLOYMENT Part-time Temporary, No benefits

FUNDING SOURCE: Indirect

POSITION SUMMARY: The Temporary Filing Clerk position is a vital support role within the Yakutat Tlingit Tribe’s Administrative Department. This role involves organizing, maintaining, and updating files and records, as well as filing and organizing Tribal documents ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. The clerk will be instrumental in facilitating efficient document handling and storage systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities of the Temporary Filing Clerk include, but are not limited to:

- Organizing and maintaining filing systems for employee documents.

- Scanning, photocopying, and filing various documents.

- Ensuring accurate and up-to-date record keeping.

- Assisting with document retrieval and information requests.

- Ensuring confidentiality and security of all documents.

- Assisting in the transition to digital record-keeping, if applicable.

- Supporting staff in administrative tasks as needed.

- Performing additional clerical duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- High School Diploma or G.E.D.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.

- Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

- Ability to work independently and efficiently.

- Previous experience in a clerical or filing role preferred, but not required.
