Job Description:
As a Bookkeeper/Billing Professional at our law firm, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for various accounting and financial reporting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Proficiency in Quickbooks Online, Word, and Excel is required, and experience with legal case management software CRM) and trust accounting billing is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all daily financial operations.
- Perform trust transfers and reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts receivable.
- Ensure timely accounts payable cycles.
- Process employee payroll and handle governmental reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards.
- Conduct cash flow forecasting.
- Provide weekly financial metrics and prepare monthly financial statements.
- Assist the CFO in drafting the annual budget.
- Work in conjunction with the CPA on all tax related matters
- Manage the annual 1099 process.
- Undertake special projects and provide management reporting as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting OR at least 5 years of experience in accounting, AR, AP, payroll, and GL functions.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks, Word, and Excel software.
- Knowledge of trust accounting and reporting requirements.
- Ability to interact professionally with both staff and clients.
- Maintain a professional and friendly attitude in a team environment.
- Adaptability to change.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Exceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Capacity to meet deadlines.
