Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail oriented Material Handler Technician to be part of the construction team. The Material Handler Tech to help organize our storage areas and maintain our inventory. Material Handlers are an integral part of a construction site. The main material handler duties revolve around placing incoming orders and picking merchandise according to specific construction site requirements. Material Handler will also monitor inventory and communicate any shortages.
Job Responsibilities:
· Proven experience as a Material Handler, Warehouse Associate, or similar position.
· Familiarity with voice picking systems or RF devices is a plus.
· Experience in using equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks).
· Strong communication skills.
· Dexterity and attention to detail.
· Organizational skills and detail oriented.
· Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
· License to operate forklifts.
· Availability to occasionally work overtime.
Essential Duties:
Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions and tolerate exposure to typical noises.
· Must have physical strength, balance, hand-eye coordination, and stamina necessary to complete jobs in various areas.
· Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds and push and/or pull 50-pound loads at a time.
· Must be able to work in all weather conditions.
· Must be able to stand and walk up to eight hours per day and climb multiple sets of stairs while carrying materials weighing between 40 and 60 pounds.
· Must be able to work some Saturdays/Sundays and night, when needed.
· Pre employment screening required.
