Position Overview: The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounting operation. They will be in charge of the accuracy of financial records, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of accounting principles, payroll processing, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as experience with Microsoft Dynamics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial accounting systems, processes, and controls
- Manage 4 accoutning clerks
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow
- Prepare accurate financial statements and reports
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Monitor and reconcile bank accounts
- Perform cash flow analysis and forecasting
- Manage working capital and fixed assets
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of month/year-end close process
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA certification a plus
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Proficient understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
