Well-established nationwide provider in superior Property Management, Heartland Realty Investors, is seeking a full time Maintenance Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Maintenance Technician will handle all aspects of community maintenance and grounds and work with the Maintenance Supervisor to maintain high community occupancy and low resident turnover. General maintenance experience required.
RESPONSIBILITIES (the following list is not all inclusive):
- Handle all community maintenance needs. This includes but is not limited to electrical/plumbing/HVAC/general carpentry/general drywall repairs/etc.
- Maintain community grounds (with the exception of mowing).
- Snow removal to all sidewalks.
- Maintain all building common areas.
- Complete resident/apartment service requests within 24-48 hours.
- Turn vacant apartments within company standards (normally 7-14 days).
- On-call rotation /respond to all after hours emergency calls during this time.
- Complete any/all tasks given by Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager.
- Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor with all residents, employees and contractors at all times.
REQUIREMENTS
- General knowledge in electrical/plumbing/HVAC/carpentry/drywall/painting.
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Customer service/satisfaction driven, self-motivated, able to multi-task, creative and energetic.
- Respond to all questions/issues in a courteous and prompt manner.
- Always have best interests of the community and the company in mind.
