Primary Duties:
- Performs a variety of accounting-related reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data and information:
- Analyzes a variety of financial information and data, including month end financial statement, expenditures, and key financial metrics.
- Balance sheet accounts.
- Performs month-end close process:
- Meets corporate cut-off and close schedule.
- Prepares and enters journal entries for allocations, sales, purchases, adjustments, re-classes, depreciation, and other related information.
- Prepares a variety of routine reports and spreadsheets related to financial activities for management.
- Follow all safety rules and procedures.
- Fully participate and support all safety initiatives.
- Think safety and continually scan the work environment; make suggestions for corrections and improvements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of:
- Liability and asset accounts.
- Account reconciliation practices, procedures, and techniques.
- General ledger accounting including Journal entry preparation.
- Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Basic computerized data processing principles.
- Skills:
- Using a computer and related financial management software applications.
- Microsoft Excel knowledge
- Microsoft Dynamics and Tower a plus.
- Effective and clear communication skills.
- Teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines under pressure and stressful work environment.
- Experience:
- Three to five years' experience.
