EverStaff, a specialized recruiting firm, is actively searching for potential candidates for Direct Hire positions with one of our top clients.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk / Data Entry Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping and receiving processes while also handling data entry tasks efficiently.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems.

This position offers an opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the efficient operation of our shipping and data management processes.

Pay Rate : $18.00 - $20.00

Hours : Monday - Friday; 9 : 00am - 5 : 30pm

Responsibilities :

Prepare shipping documents, including packing lists, bills of lading, and shipping labels.

• Ensure proper packaging and labeling of all outgoing shipments to prevent damage during transit.
• Coordinate with carriers and freight forwarders to schedule pickups and deliveries.

Perform data entry tasks to update inventory records, sales orders, and customer information.

• Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory levels, and transactions in the database.
• Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts, stock replenishment, and reconciliations.
• Handle customer inquiries and provide support with order tracking, delivery status, and returns.
• Process sales transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems and reconcile cash registers at the end of each shift.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, and data entry roles preferred.
• Proficiency in using computers and data entry software.*Familiar with MS Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
• Physical stamina to lift and move packages as needed.
