Job Title : Packaging Specialist

Shift : 1st Shift, 7am-4pm

Pay Rate : $16-$18 / HR

Job Description

Summary :

• Prepare outbound finished materials for shipment.
• Unload raw materials from vendors.
• Assist operators in staging product and setting up production orders.
• Remove materials from production area to packaging for shipment preparation.

Responsibilities :

• Package and handle finished and raw materials.
• Load and unload shipping and receiving materials.
• Assist in operating and setting up production machinery.
• Locate, stage, and return raw materials as needed.
• Complete work order paperwork in detail.
• Perform various production floor duties.
• Follow management directives and safety procedures.

Skills and Requirements :

• Production facility experience.
• Tow motor driving experience (preferred).
• Tape measure proficiency.
• Mathematical skills.
• Adaptability to various tasks.
• Understanding of specifications and measuring devices.
• Regular and punctual attendance.
• High school diploma / GED minimum.
• Forklift Certification and basic computer skills (plus).

Physical Demands :

• Use of hands for handling and feeling.
• Occasionally sitting and climbing / balancing.
• Regularly lift / move up to 10 pounds, frequently up to 50 pounds, occasionally over 100 pounds (with assist).
• Specific vision abilities (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment).
• Work around moving parts, machinery, or irritant chemicals with protective gear.
• May work in uncomfortable conditions due to temperature, noise, etc.
• Physical exertion required.
