PEAK Technical Staffing USA is Hiring an Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift Near Winchester, KY

JOB SUMMARY:
Conduct daily repairs on production equipment as per the Work Order system and Preventative Maintenance program. Collaborate closely with Production Group Leaders, Assistant Group Leaders, Setup Technicians, Maintenance Technicians, and Associates to enhance their equipment knowledge and process understanding.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Perform tasks outlined in the Preventative Maintenance System.
  2. Execute intermediate to advanced maintenance and troubleshooting repairs on production equipment, under the guidance of Group Leaders, Supervisors, or Managers.
  3. Carry out maintenance tasks on buildings and facility grounds as instructed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  4. Participate in kaizen and safety-related activities.
  5. Provide technical expertise necessary for repairs and projects.
  6. Maintain documentation of P.M. and machine history (Work orders).
  7. Assist in leading TPM events.
  8. Develop and maintain TPM check sheets for production equipment.
  9. Continuously train and educate Production Group Leaders, Line Leaders, Setup and Maintenance Technicians, and Associates in advanced technical skills.
  10. Actively engage in continuous improvement activities.
  11. Foster effective communication between Maintenance, Production, Engineering, and Management.
  12. Operate and maintain certification for driving forklift trucks and cranes.

QUALIFICATIONS: (TRAINING, EXPERIENCE, AND EDUCATION)

  • Two-year Associate Degree or Certification in Electronic or Electrical Technology or equivalent demonstrated capability.
  • Three or more years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Intermediate proficiency in three or more of the following areas: electrical, power distribution, PLC troubleshooting, programming, and machine controls.
  • Intermediate proficiency in three or more of the following areas: mechanical skills, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, metal and plastic fabrication, and welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain a safety-conscious environment.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work takes place in a manufacturing environment with potential workplace hazards. Adherence to all safety rules, regulations, and precautions is imperative to ensure the safety of employees and others.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Maneuverability around the plant.
  • Capable of bending, squatting, moving both arms above the head, moving head up and down and side to side.
  • Strong hand strength and finger dexterity.
  • Ability to grasp small and large objects repeatedly and rotate wrists, arms, and shoulders.
  • Good eyesight and hearing.
  • Ability to lift approximately 25 lbs.
