BioTalent is Hiring a Plant Engineer Near Winchester, KY

We are seeking a highly motivated Plant Engineer to join our team in Winchester, KY. In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of reliability for our plant equipment, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead a comprehensive plant safety program to prevent injuries and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Implement and maintain a robust reliability-centered maintenance process to maximize machine uptime, improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and reduce operational costs.
  • Provide departmental leadership to achieve and sustain the highest standards of plant condition and equipment performance.
  • Develop and empower the maintenance team by identifying and supporting technical training needs.
  • Oversee capital projects, participate in annual budgeting, manage departmental spending, and identify opportunities for equipment/process improvement.
  • Analyze critical equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate effectively as a key member of the plant leadership team, driving continuous improvement initiatives, meeting objectives, and setting high performance standards.
  • Participate in pillar activities focused on continuous improvement.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Possesses a minimum of 3 years of experience leading a plant maintenance department in an industrial setting or 5 years of supervisory manufacturing experience.
  • Holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Has experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (a plus).
  • Demonstrates experience in implementing and maintaining a culture of reliability and continuous improvement (TPM or similar experience preferred).
  • Possesses a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and the ability to identify and address safety gaps.
  • Can lead and develop a collaborative and highly effective maintenance team.
  • Has excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
  • Is proficient in root cause analysis techniques and developing countermeasures to achieve a zero-breakdown culture.
  • Is a process-oriented thinker with the ability to identify and implement solutions to improve existing processes.
  • Has a basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, instrumentation, lubrication, and predictive maintenance practices.
  • Is a quick learner and can quickly gain proficiency with our plant's equipment and processes.
  • Can effectively manage costs and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; CMMS experience is a plus.

This is a progression position with potential for advancement based on experience, qualifications, and business needs.
