SUMMARY:

The Project Operations Manager for the Project Group is responsible for all aspects of sourcing, onboarding and maintaining lighting product vendor relationships as they relate to specification sales.

You have a vendor relations and management background and are resourceful. You are articulate, organized, and able to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously with a “can-do” attitude.

You lead by example, supporting colleagues in their efforts by identifying and implementing strategic relationships to leverage project based selling opportunities. You will maintain and nurture relationships with lighting product vendors, entities, and organizations for the purpose of multiplying sales efforts.

Working as part of a team, coaching, and supporting colleagues is second nature to you as is the desire to expand the LEDVANCE product portfolio.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Develop and maintain new customer relationships and business opportunities for competitive advantage by strategically expanding the LEDVANCE portfolio.
• Actively co-ordinate and direct supplier roadmap and product development.
• Develop product sourcing requirements through evaluation of customer/specifiers lighting needs.
• Act as a trusted advisor to colleagues, industry peers and customers.
• Regularly keep management informed of problems, issues, and status of on-going projects.
• Actively participate in cross functional teams to ascertain product and portfolio requirements.
• Relevant Industry Committee participation.
• Work with SAP software for vendor and product set up and ongoing maintenance.
• Ability to travel to meet vendors during and outside of traditional business hours as needed.
• Demonstrate strong time management skills.
• Exude highest levels of integrity, respect, business acumen and service.
• Demonstrated strength in negotiation skills with proven ability to meet set targets.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum BS or BE required, preferably in electrical engineering.
• Minimum five years of experience within the lighting or electrical industry.
• Strong Lighting and control system knowledge.
• LC – Lighting Certified preferred or ability to sit for exam within given year and pass the exam.
• Vendor relations/sourcing experience, preferably in lighting or electrical industry.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• SAP Application experience a plus.
• Effective planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to set priorities.
• Demonstrated critical path thinking.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

• This position is located in Wilmington, MA with in-office days of 3 days per week.
