Acara Solutions is seeking an Architectural Designer for our client in the Commercial Development space.

As an Architectural Designer you will report to the Director of Design and work collaboratively with a Senior Design Drafter and 2 Architects on both renovation and new construction designs. This position has the potential to grow in the direction of Architect, Senior Architectural Designer or Project Manager depending on the candidate's strengths and career aspirations!

Salary up to $80k/year

100% onsite, Williamsville NY

Drawing and Documentation:

• Create interior architectural drawings in AutoCAD Architecture & REVIT.
• Complete redlines and mark-ups based on feedback.

Design Assistance:

• Help create preliminary and schematic floor plans.
• Assist in design team and client meetings.
• Document existing site and building conditions.
• Participate in construction visits and field observations.
• Assist with Quality Control/Quality Assurance tasks and project close-outs.

Clerical and Coordination Tasks:

• Transcribe and issue meeting minutes.
• Maintain tracking logs, project coordination, and schedules.
• Organize project documents and correspondence.

Product Research and Communication:

• Research products.
• Use Microsoft Teams and Monday.com, for communication and organization.
• Respond to RFIs and Submittals in Procore.
• Help translate client design standards into unique solutions for new and renovated buildings.
• Conduct code research for interpretation by senior staff.
• Assist in developing written specifications using Microsoft Word.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• Minimum 3 years' experience in an Architectural Design role
• Minimum 3 years' experience with programs including Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD Architecture & REVIT.
• Minimum 2 years' experience providing design support on commercial renovation and new construction projects

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:

• Commercial Renovation design experience highly preferred
• Bluebeam experience preferred
• Procore or experience working in other construction management software programs preferred
