TITLE: THRIFT STORE MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Director of Retail Operations
Responsibilities:
Aid in the overall operation of the Thrift Store. Administer Thrift Store policies and procedures as set forth by American Rescue Workers.
Duties:
1. Responsible for direct activities of the store, customer sales, pricing, ragging out, sorting, monies, merchandise, etc.
2. Responsible to help store cleanliness.
3. Responsible for preparing and posting work schedules, making sure store hours are covered with appropriate clerk and volunteer hours.
4. Keeping the store stock rotated and put out.
5. Responsible for display, windows, merchandise displays, and scheduling sale promotions.
6. Responsible in aiding the customers and providing excellent customer service.
7. Order supplies through the Director of Retail Operations or Main Office.
8. Report to the Director of Retail Operations, any customer complaints or volunteer complaints/problems.
9. Special projects as assigned by the Director of Retail Operations.
10. Must be physically able to stand for prolonged periods, lift, and bend.
11. Responsible to aid in the enactment of a pleasant atmosphere within the thrift store that promotes customer relations, and informs the public of the ministries of American Rescue Workers.
12. Responsible to work 40 hours per week.
Qualifications:
Should have experience in retail/sales. Able to follow simple directions. Organizational and coordinating skills needed. Must be able to work in an extremely high level of productivity. Active in all aspects of managing a thrift store. Must have a neat appearance and pleasant personality to work with customers. Self-motivation is a key characteristic.
PAY RATE: $14.00 / hour based on experience
