We are in search of a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team in the manufacturing industry, located in Wichita, Kansas. This role involves a variety of responsibilities, including period-end accounting close activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls, and performing functions related to fixed assets. Responsibilities: • Accurate recording of weekly payroll expense and investigation of any variances • Completion of regular tasks related to period-end accounting close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial report creation • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), internal controls, and company and departmental procedures • Fulfill requests from both Internal and External auditors • Performs all accounting functions related to fixed assets, including capitalization, disposals, inventory, capitalized interest, etc. • Ensures compliance with company policy and conformity with US Tax depreciation, CAS compliance for defense-related assets, and DCAA Audits • Support France Statutory audits and report insurable values • Support quarterly Impairment & disposal assessment, and quarterly depreciation expense forecasting for EAC, Tax, and defense contract support • Utilize skills such as CapEx, Capitalization, Month-end Close Activities, Disposals, Depreciation, Depreciation Expense, SAP, and Communication effectively in daily tasks.
