Aerodyn Engineering is Hiring a Test Engineer Near Whitestown, IN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Testing Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. As a testing engineer, you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of all projects at the turbo testing facility. This role includes direct interactions with customers and internal personnel to complete customer testing requirements. This role also includes both technical and budgetary responsibilities.

Duties:

  • Manage the customer testing requirements and ensure all documents are completed accurately and timely.
  • Creates the design and development of mechanical and electrical system components and services based on satisfying customers’ testing requirements.
  • Establish precise customer quotations outlining all testing aspects of the project.
  • Communicate all test schedule progress, changes, and commercial changes to the customer promptly and effectively.
  • Generates project plans in MS Project or similar tracking tools to track on time delivery and critical processes for all projects.
  • Manages project phases within manufacturing, laboratory, quality, etc. to optimize project schedule requirements.
  • Identifies technical risks and develops mitigation plans to meet all schedule and test requirements.
  • Create requisitions for purchases of all essential parts and equipment, as needed, for each assigned project.
  • Establish and maintain a weekly shipment and quote tracking report in ERP system for management review and to ensure on time delivery to customers.
  • Create job work instructions for test technicians to execute projects effectively.
  • Provide technical guidance for the test configurations including mechanical design, electrical design, controls and data systems, pneumatic design, and hydraulic design.
  • Develop and maintain accuracy of test procedures, data validity/storage, and any other required test data electronically.
  • Keeps track of lessons learned, budgets, and shares with team members for continual improvement.
  • Lead by example to promote and build healthy work culture within the department and other departments.
  • Participate in and complete any mandatory overtime of personnel to achieve testing requirements and financial goals of the departments.
  • Adhere to all company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Aerodyn management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or related field
  • 5 years of Testing, Automotive, or similar industry experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-directed and able to deliver under pressure, meeting customer and management deadlines
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter comfortable operating independently and with a team
  • Must demonstrate ability to act professionally
  • Minimum travel required (Less than 3-5%)
