Job Summary:

Growing Aviation company located in White Oak, PA is seeking a Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent will purchase goods and services involving aircraft parts according to departmental and organizational policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receiving aircraft parts sent to QAI.
• Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability, and other criteria.
• Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
• Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors.
• Preparing and processing purchase orders.
• Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Demonstrable experience in negotiating prices and terms and conditions.
• Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and purchasing software .
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A strong analytical mindset.
• Outstanding organizational skills.

Education and Experience:

• BS/BA in business administration or relevant field required.
• Proven experience as a purchasing agent or relevant role strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
• Must be able to access all areas of the facility to determine purchasing needs.
