Summary/Objective:

The successful candidate will need to possess excellent customer service skills. The Information Specialist has direct responsibility for successful interactions with customers, subcontractors, and other key Government personnel. This position requires effective communication with the customers, as well as internal personnel. Information Specialist requires familiarity with terminology of the office unit. Performs contract-related tasks while directly supporting in the areas of administration, security, and logistics, as well as performing other duties as assigned. Works as part of a team or leads a team. Work with general guidance or independently on projects as required. Must be computer proficient and knowledgeable of programs involving Microsoft word-processing, presentations, database management and scheduling, and capable of operating multi-media equipment, if required.

Essential Functions:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Maintains databases
• Coordinates activities required by engineers
• Key control, and physical security of documents and buildings
• Processing Visit Requests, Badge Requests, Foreign Nationals Visit Requests, Access Lists
• Prepares work orders for engineers to address project required range activities
• Compiles data packages to support specified reliability scoring conferences and/or other purposes
• Operating multi-media equipment
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to others
• Other duties, as needed

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 0645 to 1615.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with computer
• Comfortable with and able to communicate effectively
• Possess the ability to complete and deliver required work, with minimal supervision in a timely manner
• Knowledgeable of basic security rules and regulations pertaining to visitors
• SECRET clearance
