Summary

The Stamping Set-Up Operator is responsible for the daily set-up and operation of producing the highest quality of stamped parts.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

• Set-up & operate machines to inspect, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metals.
• Perform quality inspections on first article and finished product using typical quality measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, comparator, thread / pin / plug gauges, etc.
• Complete required safety training and adhere to required safety rules for safe machine operations
• Maintains a clean and safe workplace.
• Any duties assigned, as needed.

Requirements

Minimum Education / Experience / Skills

• High School Diploma / G.E.D
• 5 years related work experience and / or training - setting up Stamping machines
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole number, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Essential Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Work up to 9 hours in manufacturing environment
• Walk / stand on concrete floor, as the job requires, for up to 9 hours
• Ability to work overtime as necessary
• Safeguard self with personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
• Use of cleaning equipment or tools as necessary for housekeeping duties in accordance with all safety rules.
