We do our best to keep all employees with their preferred geographic regions / specialty areas; however, float pool employees must be able and willing to commute to any of our locations during orientation (for training / precepting purposes) or during times of fluctuating staffing shortages (for cross-coverage purposes).

The Opportunity

We are seeking a full time Medical Assistant to be onsite Monday through Friday 8 : 30am-5 : 00pm. In this role, you would be expected to cover and travel to various practices across the South Shore.

Towns / cities include : South Weymouth, Braintree, Hingham, Scituate, Pembroke, Duxbury, and Buzzards Bay. As true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education / certification while also functioning as part of the care team.

This person will be working in a combined Practice Assistant / Medical assistant role doing responsibilities of both administrative support and clinical support.

Responsibilities include :

• Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
• Assisting during office visits (rooming / vitals, EKGs, examinations, procedures, immunizations, and treatments as directed)
• Maintaining neat, clean, stocked, and safe exam rooms and patient care areas
• Interacting with patients and their families in a professional and courteous manner consistent with their need
• check in, check out, phone reception duties, and serving as the first point of contact for patient appointments as need.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a formal medical assistant training program required
• CPR certification from a program approved by the American Heart Association required
• National Medical Assistant certification preferred
• Clinical support experience, specifically in primary care and / or specialty care setting, preferred
