Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Manage both accounts payable and receivable processes
- Manages the new account opening process
- Enters data into accounting software
- Involved in billing and invoicing
- Manages account deposits and disbursements
- Provides clerical support within the department such as check depositing, filing, and mail distribution
Experience:
- 2-4 Years bookkeeping and / or accounting experience
- College degree strongly preferred
- Previous law firm experience preferred
- Accounting software experience (Javelan preferred)
- MS Office Suite, advanced Excel skills required
