Overview: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lead Medical Assistant to join our team. This position will be a combination of administrative and clinical duties. As a Lead Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing administrative support to healthcare professionals and ensuring smooth operations within the medical facility. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional administrative support to medical staff, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals - Schedule appointments and manage calendars for medical personnel - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient information - Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel - Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information - Assist with medical billing and coding processes - Coordinate patient referrals and obtain necessary authorizations - Prepare and maintain medical supplies inventory - Assist with basic life support procedures as needed - Provide patient education materials and instructions as directed by healthcare providers Experience: - Previous experience working in a hospital or medical setting is preferred - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and patient care procedures - Familiarity with medication administration processes - Proficiency in medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records - Basic life support certification is a plus We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
