Grand Avenue Preschool & Daycare is a licensed childcare center in Burr Ridge seeking an Assistant Director!This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic candidate who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.
Compensation: $21-24/hr., based on experience or education
Shift: Monday – Friday, based on center needs

When you join our team as an Assistant Center Director you will:
- Assist the Center Director in leading teaching staff, supporting families, and achieving enrollment, accreditation, and operational objectives
- Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children
- Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, and state licensing authorities
Required Skills, Education, and Experience:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or currently working on degree completion
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare facility, managerial experience preferred or strong desire to move into a managerial role
- Must possess strong curriculum and planning skills
- Demonstrated understanding of the needs of families and children
- Demonstrated skills in conflict resolution and collaboration
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communications skills (oral and written)
- Candidate must also pass all background checks and meet state requirements
