Purpose of Position
We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Convenience Store Sales Associate. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our valued customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers in finding the products they need and ensuring their overall satisfaction.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, restocking shelves, and managing inventory. You will also handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all sales are properly recorded. Additionally, you will be responsible for answering customer inquiries, addressing any concerns, and providing product recommendations.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Operate cash register and handle financial transactions accurately
• Stock shelves and ensure products are properly displayed and organized
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including restrooms and common areas
• Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low stock or product shortages
• Provide product knowledge and recommendations to customers
• Process customer orders and handle customer complaints or concerns
• Follow company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning equipment and changing light bulbs
• Prepare and serve food items
• Monitor and maintain food quality and freshness
• Follow food safety guidelines and regulations
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain a positive work environment
• Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in retail or customer service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
• Knowledge of basic math and computer skills
• Familiarity with inventory management and stocking procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance on a ladder and stoop, kneel, or crouch when stocking and cleaning shelves. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must be able to work in varying temperatures. Working in coolers and freezers.
