The LPVEC has an opening for an elementary/ middle school special education teacher in our summer program. The summer program runs Monday – Friday from 9:00am – 2:00pm located at 174 Brush Hill in West Springfield.Starting July 2nd (with Holiday closing July 4 & 5th) until August 9, 2024.Provide academic instruction and behavior modification approaches in a highly structured, therapeutic day school setting. In a small class setting, the teacher will address the academic and emotional/behavior needs of the students set forth in their Individual Education Plan (IEP). Anticipate and plan appropriate interventions to avoid student behavior issues, and use therapeutic restraints when deemed necessary.
