District Supervisor Job Description

Responsibilities include:

• Asset Management
• Ensures that all stores in the district are contributing positively to the goals and objectives set.
• Reviews operating results of individual stores, identifies problem areas and causes, and makes necessary changes to improve performance.
• Performs a safety review at each location periodically, and reports to Risk Management any needs or concerns.
• Sales & Merchandising
• Ensures that company promotional campaigns are enacted in a timely manner.
• Communicates the strategy and projected results of marketing plans.
• Ensures the proper merchandising strategy is used at all stores.
• Ensures that all personnel maintain the highest customer service standards.
• Recruiting & Staffing
• Recruits continuously. Seeks out the best candidates available in terms of attitude and skills.
• Plans for future needs by maintaining an adequate pool of manager candidates.
• Reviews store work schedule for proper labor allocation.
• Approves and schedules all new hires for orientation
• Personnel Development
• Ensures that all employees receive the proper skills training necessary for their position.
• Periodically evaluates the skill level of each manager and identifies weak areas.
• Works in conjunction with the Training Department to improve the skills of each manager.
• Develops at least one Store Manager within the group to whom DS duties can be delegated effectively.
• Administration
• Ensures that all federal and state required posting are current and accessible to all employees at each location.
• Ensures that an Incident Report is completed for all warranted events, and that it is forwarded to Risk Management
• Personally performs a facility inspection once per period at each location using the appropriate company form and submits to the operations secretary on a timely basis.
