Educator Panel is Hiring a School Psychologist Near Watertown, NY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the coming school year (2024-2025).

Assignment Details: As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Position: School Psychologist
  • Location: Watertown, NY
  • Start date September 3, 2024
  • Hours 40 hours per week: Monday through Friday
  • Caseload: 1 school for grades 5/6 with a total of 618 current students
  • Required Credentials/Certificates: We would be interested in an intern or a licensed school Psychologist We would like them to be familiar with the FBA/BIP process and data collection for this.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Provide crisis intervention services and support during emergencies or challenging situations
  • Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social-emotional needs
  • Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral intervention plans
  • Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
  • Collaborate with community resources to provide additional support for students and families

Requirements:

- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field

- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist

- Experience working with children in an educational setting

- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations

- Familiarity with medical records and documentation

- Strong crisis intervention skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
