We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team for the coming school year (2024-2025). As a School Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students. You will collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assignment Details:
- Position: School Psychgologist
- Location: Scotts Valley, CA 95066
- Grade: High School
- Caseload: 50
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioral functioning
- Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations for interventions and accommodations
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
- Provide crisis intervention services and support during emergencies or challenging situations
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to address students' social-emotional needs
- Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral intervention plans
- Collect and analyze data to monitor student progress and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions
- Collaborate with community resources to provide additional support for students and families
Requirements:
- Master's or doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Psychologist
- Experience working with children in an educational setting
- Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
- Familiarity with medical records and documentation
- Strong crisis intervention skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
