Ence Homes, a family-owned, residential construction company based in St. George, Utah, is seeking a hardworking, ambitious Assistant Construction Superintendent to grow with our company. Our Assistant Construction Superintendents help manage subcontractors and provide hands-on work to help complete all construction activities to ensure our homes are successfully completed on schedule, within budget, and built to our superior quality standard.

Assistant Construction Superintendent Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

· Assist to coordinate completion of all construction activities

· Assist to inspect subcontractors’ work to ensure it meets plans and specs and quality standards

· Communicate with Superintendents about construction progress

· Assist in completion of all pre-walk punch list items (adjusting doors, raising thresholds, job-site clean-up, etc.)

· Assist to maintain organized job sites and communities

· Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employees

· Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices and rectify job site hazards immediately

Experience:

· 1 years of residential construction experience with a production residential or multi-family builder or a related subcontractor field preferred.

· BA degree preferred but not required. Desirable study concentration in construction management or a related field

Skills Required:

· Extensive knowledge of residential construction, professionally and technically competent with a thorough understanding of project plans and specifications

· Self-starting, highly motivated, ethical and goal oriented

· Excellent attention to detail with an emphasis place on quality, accuracy & efficiency

· Strong communication skills along with excellent written communication skills and effective listening skills

· Strong computer skills with knowledge of Excel, MS Word, etc.

· Ability to easily handle multiple projects at the same time with strong organization skills thorough follow-up

· Tactful and mature demeanor with well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with diverse personalities

· Works easily with others

Must have valid UT driver’s license. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test. Full-time position, M-F 7:30-4:30. Salary starting at $40,000-$50,000 DOE with auto allowance. Benefits included after appropriate waiting periods. Successful performance in this position can lead to opportunities for advancement within the company including but not limited to a position as a Construction Superintendent.
