Buckeye Central High School is Hiring a Secondary English Teacher Near Washington, OH

Job Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate High School Teacher to join our team. As a High School Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the minds of our students and preparing them for their future endeavors. You will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, delivering instruction, and providing guidance to students. Duties: - Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and educational standards - Deliver instruction to students in various subjects, including but not limited to English, Math, Science, and Social Studies - Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles - Assess student performance and provide constructive feedback - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment - Provide academic advising and guidance to students - Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and activities - Utilize instructional design principles to enhance student learning experiences - Manage student behavior and maintain discipline in the classroom - Stay updated on current educational trends and best practices Skills: - Strong copy editing skills to review and provide feedback on student assignments - Ability to educate and inspire students through effective teaching strategies - Mentoring skills to support students' personal growth and development - Familiarity with style guides such as the Chicago Manual Style for academic writing - Experience in higher education teaching is a plus - Knowledge of academic advising principles to assist students with course selection and career planning - Proficiency in instructional design methodologies for creating engaging learning materials - Ability to effectively manage student behavior and maintain a positive classroom environment - Familiarity with library services to promote research skills among students We offer competitive compensation packages, professional development opportunities, and a supportive work environment.
