Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be detail-oriented. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments.

Duties:
- Process vendor invoices and employee expense reports
- Review invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Obtain proper approvals for payment
- Enter invoices into the accounting system
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and process weekly check runs
- Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions
- Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Provide support for audits as needed

Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in accounts payable or related field
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Experience with account reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
