SOFT's client needs a Training Specialist for a long term contract assignment. This position is primarily remote, but the selected candidate must be local to the NYC metro area or Waltham, MA for occasional on-site meetings and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Translate business requirements into sound end-user training materials instructor-led training guides, Web-based training, self-study tutorials, exercise guides, user procedures and job aids. Define and populate training data within sandbox environment to support training objectives. Develop and author appropriate business process and systems training programs. May have to take existing material and recreate or modify. Requires Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design or equivalent work experience. (3-5 years experience in training discipline)
* Work with stakeholders across the gas organization to help them adapt to new ways of working and embrace transformational goals
· Support standup and management of change enablement networks and the development of information and resources to drive change leadership capabilities
· Help identify the change impacts to individuals and groups and create change plans that will help those people embrace the change
· Support the design and delivery of interventions to help stakeholders respond and adapt to change impacts, finding ways to overcome individual resistance to change
· Partner with internal and external experts to design, develop and implement targeted communications campaigns around central themes related to our transformation
· Help develop business readiness criteria and support ongoing business readiness assessments
· Use a structured, data-driven approach to measure, monitor and report on the effectiveness of change interventions pre-implementation and adoption post implementation and adapt as necessary
· Build and maintain a strong external network to ensure ongoing benchmarking and the ability to bring innovative and progressive ideas
· Identify, analyze and prepare risk mitigation tactics
· Identify training needs and support creating and implementing training plans
* Develop and deliver training to end users virtually, hybrid, and in-person, depending on the need of the stakeholders.
* Provide post go live support following deployments, enhancements, and fixes of defects.
* Experience with Salesforce, Salesforce Dispatch Console, Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Field Service Lightning, IBM Maximo, ESRI / ArcGIS products, and/or Lemur preferred
* Experience delivering change and training to a diverse workforce of union and non-union employees.
* Travel at times will be up to 50%, primarily in Massachusetts and New York State
* Support project teams in integrating change management activities into their project plans * Focus on changes to business processes, systems and technology including shifts in job roles and responsibilities * Work though many others in the organization to succeed * Apply a structured change management approach and methodology for the people side change caused by projects and change efforts. * Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change.* Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance; and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns. * Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan * Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions * Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success. * Work with project teams to integrate change management activities into the overall project plan. * Work with communication, training, HR and OD specialists in the formulation of particular plans and activities to support project implementation.
Work hours are generally between 8am and 5pm, although earlier and later can happen infrequently when training delivery occurs to the business.
