SOFT's client, located in Allentown, PA is looking for a Network Operations Specialist for a long term contract assignment. This is a hybrid position.
Skills / Experience:
Network operations, support and maintenance along with some capital project implementation. Participate in implementation and deployment of new technologies. The candidate will be trained on site. A strong understanding of cellular networks including GSM (ATT), CDM (Verizon) and others is required. This thorough understanding is necessary to identify network problems and recommend improvements to ensure optimal performance.

Experience with the following is expected: Cisco Routers / Switches & MPLS, F5 load balancers, Solar Winds Performance and Configuration Manager, Ciena Optical Gear - SONET & DWDM, River Bed Network Optimization, Checkpoint Firewalls, Juniper Firewalls (SRX/NSM/IC/Junos Space), Trustwave Proxy, RSA Secure ID, Niksun.

Knowledge of power system components as it applies to 12kV electric utility systems is preferred, but not required.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
