The Fountain Group is Hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist Near Waltham, MA
- W2 only. No C2C.
- Contract position : 1 year to start with potential for extension or conversion.
- Pay : Open, depending on experience.
- Must-Have chemical or biological safety (Ex : Lab Safety related to Pharma or R&D / Medical), which is a key component of the job.
- Manager has stated the work hours may include off hours and weekends if needed.
- The role will support 2 work site locations within 1.4 miles of each other in Waltham.
- Certification / or willingness to obtain : CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) or RCRA (Resource Conservation and Recovery Act)
- The EHS Specialist Service Provider serves an important and highly visible role helping to ensure that site HSE Management System (HSE-MS) requirements are appropriately implemented and maintained necessary to ensure safe site operations.
- Implementing, monitoring, and participating in the development of site environmental, health and safety programs (Contractor Safety, Ergonomics, Laboratory and Chemical Safety, Hazardous Waste, Wastewater, laboratory inspections, etc.)
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and occupational regulations and permits (Department of Environmental Protection, Occupational Safety and Health Administration, Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, and local permits).
- Leading risk assessment processes, including, but not limited to job hazard analyses, hazardous chemicals, and ergonomics.
- Conducting comprehensive environmental, health and safety inspections of laboratories and facilities.
- Conducting accident / incident investigations.
