CLIENT SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

At California Bank of Commerce, the goal of our Client Service Representative in Branch Operations is to provide excellent client service. In addition, the Client Service Representative supports all areas of operations while maintaining professionalism and versatility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Create and maintain positive relationships with new and existing clients while completing transactions in an efficient and timely manner;
• Fulfill teller duties including monitoring lobby traffic, balance the teller drawer, signing cashier’s checks within your limit and seeking approval when cashing checks and deposits over teller limit;
• Open new business accounts by preparing required documents; obtaining all necessary information, and ordering associated client materials;
• Open Escrow and CDAR accounts;
• Perform account maintenance and callbacks and assist in the performance of monthly and quarterly certifications for the branch;
• Process incoming or outgoing cash shipments for the vault as part of the dual control requirement. Batch deposits periodically then scan through branch capture;
• Keep abreast of all products and services offered by the Bank and ensure that all needed resources are available for the Branch (e.g., ordering and shipping foreign currency, cashier’s check stock, counter check stock, general office supplies, etc.).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent;
• Must be bondable;
• 2 years of banking experience, preferably in Commercial Banking;
• Excellent Communication and Time Management Skills;
• Knowledge and understanding of business operating agreements;
• Accurate word processing and computer database skills; with extensive technical expertise and full knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
