Gillespie Roofing, Inc. is Hiring a Project Manager Near Walla Walla, WA

Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible to provide day to day oversight of multiple projects. Roles and duties will vary depending on the size and complexity of the project but overall, the Project Manager, along with the Project Superintendent, will be responsible for the project’s performance regarding safety, schedule, quality, reputation and cost. It is the Project Manager’s responsibility to understand and deliver Gillespie Roofing, Inc.’s contractual obligations in a manner that is consistent with our culture and core values.

Essential Job Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Estimate & Bid commercial roofing projects
  • Ensure that all materials are complete and in place prior to staffing jobs
  • Promote cooperation, communication and coordination between the job site and the office. This is also to include all required reports and paperwork submitted on time and in the proper format.
  • Ensure that the information flow and instructions needed to complete the job is shared between Estimators and Superintendents and ensure that the process is efficient.
  • Quality control by ensuring all work is completed in a craftsman like manner consistent with company standards and to the specification and satisfaction of the customer.
  • Completion of construction projects includes directing construction requirements; comparing construction results to plans; coordinating with general contractors and customers; compiling and estimating change orders; scheduling inspections; resolving problems.
  • Project costs (materials, labor, equipment, taxes, permits, safety equipment etc.) and produce estimates using software for new construction and roof replacements.
  • Procure competitive quotes from specific vendors on material, equipment, subcontractors etc.
  • Communicate with the production team to gauge accurate costs for production and to ensure projects are prepared in accordance with the scope of work proposed and agreed upon.
  • Be thorough, always review and comprehend all construction documents such as contracts, plans and specs for projects you are estimating.
  • Prepare submittals, shop drawings, warranty applications.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience in a position of a roofing foreman, manager, project coordinator and estimator.
  • Knowledgeable in all types of commercial & residential roofing. (TPO, PVC, composition, metal roofing, custom sheet metal.)
  • Management Skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English preferred but not required.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be familiar with basic OSHA & NIOSH rules
  • Strong computer skills & CAD design
