Robert Half is Hiring a Medical Data Entry Clerk Near Waco, TX
Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff
- Perform data quality checks and audits
- Assist in generating reports and analyzing data
- Organize and manage both paper and electronic files
- Provide general administrative support
- Use Microsoft Excel and other software for data entry and documentation
- Handle billing functions and claim administration while providing excellent customer service.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required
- Proficient in using the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA)
- Familiarity with EHR SYSTEM is necessary
- Ability to effectively use IBM AS/400
- Proficiency in McKesson software is a must
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required
- Experience in Billing Functions is necessary
- Knowledge and experience in Claim Administration
- Strong Customer Service skills are required
- Must have excellent Data Entry skills
- Good Documentation skills are necessary.
