Stealth Recruiting Services is Hiring a Mental Health Professional Near Washington, WA

Job Description

Our client is looking for a counselor's working with behavioral populations in crisis.
Previous experience working with inpatient voluntary population is highly desired.
Coordinate, for each patient, the patient-centered comprehensive assessment of psychiatric history (e.g., onset, course and effect of illness, past treatment and responses, and risk behaviors), mental status, and diagnosis; physical health and dental health; use of drugs or alcohol; education and employment; social development and functioning; activities of daily living (e.g., self-care, living situation, nutrition, money management); and family structure and relationships.

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1. A master’s degree or further advanced degree in counseling or one of the social sciences from an accredited college or university required;
2. Must qualify as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) and obtain a WA State Credential to practice prior to starting the position;
3. Exhibit Cultural Humility: The continuous application in professional practice of self-reflection and self-critique, learning from patients, and partnership building, with an awareness of the limited ability to understand the patient’s worldview, culture(s), and communities.
4. Provide Culturally Appropriate Care: Health care services provided with Cultural Humility and an understanding of the patient’s culture and community and informed by Historical Trauma and the resulting cycle of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
