Psychiatric Provider Aide - Posting #25276

Hourly wage : $19.25

Position Summary :

Sea Mar Behavioral Health’s diverse and quickly expanding program is seeking a Full-time Psychiatric Provider Aide for our location on Cushman Avenue in Tacoma.

If you are a Certified Nursing Assistant and posses a CNA License from Washington, you are welcome to apply for this position.

The Psychiatric Aide assists in insuring that charts, prescription refill requests, and all information or paperwork the psychiatric prescriber will need is prepared and organized ahead of time.

Also ensures medication storage, maintenance, dispensation of waste logs are maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.

The Psychiatric Aide (CNA) will assist psychiatric staff with client flow and provide quality of care in a timely manner.

Prepares the patient for their office visits with the provider including obtaining subjective data and vital signs. Receives and processes medication refill requests from pharmacies by preparing refill requests fro provider review and approval, and ensures prescriptions are faxed to the pharmacy.

Will be working as part of an integrated care team that may include psychiatrists, social workers, behavioral health professional and case managers.

Other duties will be assigned upon hire.

Qualifications :

• Must posses a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) License from Washington State.
• Posses a current CPR / BLS card or obtain one within 90 days of employment
• Must have a First Aid Certificate.
• Basic mathematical skills are required including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and division. Convert pounds to kilograms, etc
• Must have no history or evidence of alcohol or other drug misuse for a period of three (3) years immediately prior to being hired
• Washington State Drivers License required
• Familiarity with computer software desired
• Bilingual English / Spanish required
