WSP is seeking to grow its Transportation team and is currently searching for a Roadway Project Manager for our Indianapolis, IN office. Be involved in projects with our Civil Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges. The position requires strong technical, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. The candidate must be an enthusiastic and motivated person to lead small to large sized projects and tasks, and serve as a key technical resource on all types of challenging transportation projects.
·Roadway Project Manager who will perform engineering design, analysis, task management, and project management duties on all types of transportation projects.The selected candidate will be responsible for work including geometric studies, report writing, preliminary and final engineering, plan production, drainage design, construction staging, design and quantity calculations, cost estimates, and other related effort.Typical duties may include the following:
·Managing the design of projects and teams to provide quality delivery on projects of all types and sizes.
·Responsible for contract and financial management of projects.
·Grow and mentor engineering staff while collaborating with a variety of project teams within WSP USA.
·Assist in the strategic growth of market sectors including marketing, proposal writing, and business development.
·Create a professional environment of innovation, opportunity, development, and continuous improvement that supports office objectives.
·Recruit, retain, and develop top industry talent.
Required Qualifications
·Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
·10 years of professional experience
·Professional Engineering registration in the State of Indiana, or ability to obtain within 6 months through reciprocity.
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes:
·Ability to lead and guide civil engineering staff.
·Successful project management and highway design experience.
·An excellent communicator and team leader.
·INDOT and Local Public Agency (LPA) experience.
·Familiarity with AASHTO and INDOT standards and requirements.
·Understanding and knowledge of MicroStation and InRoads software.
·Ability to provide value in marketing and business development activities.
·Strong background in developing preliminary and final engineering deliverables.
·Ability to independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques and criteria using sound judgment.
·Experience in alternative delivery projects is a plus.
