***PART TIME - MONDAY and TUESDAY.***
Traveling Podiatry practice seeking a Part-Time Medical Assistant to provide nail care treatments to our long term care patients in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living facilities based on their needs and preferences. This position will travel to various locations in Visalia and surrounding cities.
Under general supervision of the provider: Perform and document routine foot care and treatments.
Medical Assistant responsibilities include cleaning, filing, and grooming toenails, calluses and corns. This includes the trimming and removal of the cuticle, moisturizing the skin of the feet, and removal dead skin and calluses from feet. The medical assistant will also work directly with medical staff to report potentially dangerous nail conditions to the practitioner. Maintains and monitors all needed small tools, equipment and supplies, maintaining sterile compliance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and clean and sterilize station in-between patients
- Sterilize equipment before use
- Cleaning, filing and grooming toenails, calluses and corns.
- Inform patients about additional services and products
