Sentara Health is seeking to hire a qualified individual to join our team as a Director, HR Business Partner. Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: Sentara Park in Virginia Beach, VA
Standard Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (ET).
Position Responsibilities:
  • Partner with division executive leadership teams to develop, lead and manage division people-related strategy with shared responsibility for goal achievement.
  • Drive HR practices, processes and initiatives that support division strategic objectives.
  • Solve complex challenges through people-related solutions.
  • Partner with Centers of Expertise (COE's) to design and execute strategy.
  • Maintain advanced level of business literacy of division financial position, midrange plans, culture and competition.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Seven (7) years progressive experience in managing people, processes and resources achieving identified goals and objectives.
  • Working knowledge of multiple HR disciplines to include compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and labor relations, diversity, performance management, and Federal/State employment laws.
Preferred:
  • SPHR, Healthcare experience
  • Master’s degree

SPHR, Healthcare experience and masters degree preferred.
This position is aligned to the Sentara Health Plans Division.
