We are hiring a Production Machine Mechanic who will be working on the production floor along side our production leads to ensure the machines run productively. This position will be in charge of making sure the line runs smoothly and makes any adjustments needed to the machines.

Night Shift: 9pm - 6 am; Sunday to Thursday

Comp:$20-$35/hr depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Set up machinery for operation and calibrate if needed
• Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance
• Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
• Troubleshoot issues and perform minor maintenance
• Uses several sources to perform work, such as job travelers, blueprints, schematics, models or specifications
• Assesses when changes or repairs need to be made to fixtures and tools
• Evaluate output of machine and decide whether to stop the machine or not
• Evaluates and audits machine shop proves to comply with all safety and health regulations
• Clean major processing machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area
• Manage consumable equipment parts inventory

Qualifications

• Mechanical, Pneumatic, or Electrical certification is a plus
• Previous machine operating experience or apprenticeships in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience
• Must be detail-oriented
• Understanding of production and plant processes, and production terms e.g. Yield, Downtime, throughput, and cycles per minute etc.
• Ability to work under wet and cold environment at 38F All PPE will be provided
• Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
• Ability to follow written and oral instruction
• Ability to work in a team
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, to bend, and to stand or walk for long periods of time
• Willingness to work in shifts (late or early hours, weekends, and overtime if necessary)

Experience

• Mechanical, Pneumatic, or Electrical certification is a plus
• Previous machine operating experience or apprenticeships in a manufacturing facility, or similar relevant experience

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
