About Our Production Technician Role:

As a Production Technician, you will be a vital part of our team, focusing on the assembly and maintenance of Internal Combustion engines (ICE) and Electric Vehicles (EVs). Your role involves performing a variety of standard automotive tasks, operating a range of shop tools, and maintaining automotive electrical equipment. You will also develop and document work instructions for production processes. Collaborating closely with the Design, Production, and Engineering teams, you will provide feedback on parts, processes, and workflows, contributing to the continuous improvement of our operations. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining high quality and safety standards in our innovative automotive projects.

Some of the things you will do as a Production Technician:
Perform a variety of standard automotive maintenance and assembly tasks on both ICE and Electric Vehicles (EVs)

  • Operate and maintain a wide variety of shop tools, power tools, and automotive electrical test equipment.
  • Develop, document, and execute standardized work instructions for production processes.
  • Assist and interface with Design, Production and Engineering teams to improve work instructions, parts, jigs, tools, and other related components

Some of the Things We’re Looking For:

  • 2 years’ experience in automotive diagnosis, servicing, and repairs
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and achieve common goals
  • Flexibility and willingness to work in a fast-paced startup manufacturing environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and subsystems (Engine/Transmission, Brakes, Cooling, Electrical HVAC, Steering, Suspension etc.)
  • Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the assembly and maintenance of motor vehicles and engines, including EVs.
  • Knowledge of safe work practices in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in assembly of motorized vehicles and equipment.
  • Knowledge of body and frame construction.
  • Skill in the use of: a variety of hand tools; gas and electric welding equipment; mechanized tools, jacks, and hoists; a variety of automotive diagnostic testing and tuning equipment.
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and automotive malfunctions, to read mechanical and automotive blueprints, diagrams, and manuals and to disassemble, repair, and assemble engines and parts.
  • Technician training experience.
  • Experience with professional shop safety and 5S programs.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Physical Requirements:

  • Walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stooping.
  • Lifting, carrying, or pushing/pulling supplies, materials, equipment and/or items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment:
The work environment may include exposure to noise, fumes, and heat. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in accordance with safety regulations.

Clean and well-organized unconditioned shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times requires ear plugs, use of eye protection, and/or occasional use of a respirator.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
