About Our Fabrication Technician Role:

As a Fabrication Technician with our team, you will be at the forefront of our innovative vehicle conversion projects. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the high-quality fabrication and assembly of metal components, directly impacting the final output of our unique vehicle conversions. Your responsibilities will include a diverse range of fabrication tasks, such as welding, interpreting technical drawings, and handling materials while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to precision, enabling you to contribute significantly to our mission of transforming gasoline vehicles to electric. You'll collaborate with a team of passionate technicians, engineers, and designers, bringing your technical expertise to create products that blend classic aesthetics with modern technology.

Some of the things you will do as a Fabrication Technician:

• Welding: Perform a variety of welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to join metal components according to specifications.
• Fabrication: Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to fabricate metal structures, components, and assemblies.
• Cutting and Shaping: Utilize cutting equipment such as plasma cutters, torches, and saws to cut and shape metal materials accurately.
• Assembly: Assemble fabricated parts into complete products or structures, ensuring proper alignment, fit, and finish.
• Quality Control: Inspect completed welds and fabricated products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Material Handling: Safely handle and transport raw materials and finished products using appropriate lifting and rigging techniques.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries and ensure a safe working environment.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the production team, engineers, and designers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and meet design specifications.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects for reporting and tracking purposes.

Some of the Things We’re Looking For:

• Welding Expertise: MIG, TIG, and stick welding (Welding Certification is a plus).
• Fabrication Skills: Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Attention to Detail: Heart of craftsmen with a keen eye for detail to ensure precise alignment, fit, and finish of fabricated products.
• Uncompromising commitment to safety.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot issues that may arise during the process.
• Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Technical Aptitude: Familiarity with welding and fabrication tools, machinery, and equipment.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant welding and fabrication experience in a similar role.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Physical Requirements:

• Walking, sitting, standing, bending, and stooping.
• Lifting, carrying, or pushing/pulling supplies, materials, equipment and/or items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Work Environment:
The work environment may include exposure to noise, fumes, and heat. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn at all times in accordance with safety regulations.

Clean and well-organized unconditioned shop environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but at times requires ear plugs, use of eye protection, and/or occasional use of a respirator.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
