At NorthBay Health the Armed Security Officer is responsible for promoting a safe healthcare environment by serving as a deterrent to violent behavior and / or criminal activity through their presence and ability to respond to an incident that poses a serious threat of death or great bodily injury.
The Armed Security Officer is primarily assigned to the Emergency Department and associated waiting areas. Their security and safety responsibilities extend to all medical facilities owned and / or operated by NorthBay HealthCare and individual assignments or responsibilities may be dependent on the activity, need for assistance or direction of the Security Program Director.
The armed Security Officer will also prepare reports documenting their response to calls for service.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
Qualifications
Education :
Possession of a high-school diploma of graduation or equivalent.
Experience :
Previous experience in security, military or law enforcement is highly desirable.
Licensure :
5, 7583.6, 7583.7 and California Code of regulations Sections 628, 631 and 632 and any other applicable laws not listed here.
All training must be completed upon date of hire.
Skills :
Working knowledge of PC computers and their programs.
Interpersonal Skills :
