Description

Savers Bank is seeking an experienced Head Teller to lead a team committed to delivering excellent customer service and driving sales in the banking industry. In this role, you will perform a wide range of teller and related duties to provide exceptional service in line with established policies and procedures. To succeed in this role, you must have at least 2 years of teller experience, excellent customer service skills, a strong ability to sell to customer needs, supervisory experience (preferred), attention to detail, professional and friendly communication skills, general math and computer skills, a positive and friendly attitude, and a commitment to being a team player. Reporting to branch management, this is a full-time, non-exempt position requiring you to work two Saturdays each month.

You Will:

• Perform bank teller duties including handling basic and complex transactions with accuracy and excellent customer service including but not limited to cash items, savings deposits, withdrawals, transfers, new account data, money orders, cash advances, and loan payments, prioritizing discretion and confidentiality.
• Provide exceptional customer service, actively cross-selling available banking services and coaching tellers on cross-selling techniques.
• Oversee and ensure efficient operations of the teller line, including cash management, transaction processing, reconciliations, policy compliance, and security protocols.
• Process various customer transactions like deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, and sales of banking products with utmost discretion and service excellence.
• Conduct teller audits, identify improvement areas, and drive cross-selling initiatives through coaching and leveraging platforms like Salesforce.
• Train, onboard, and troubleshoot operational issues for new and existing teller staff. Provide hands-on training for cash recyclers, systems, processes, and procedures. 
• Manage teller line supplies, maintain business machines and security cameras, handle safe deposit box operations.
• Cover managerial duties, prepare operational reports, schedule tellers and their assignments, and perform other clerical/administrative tasks as assigned.
• Continuously enhance product knowledge to meet referral and cross-selling goals.
• Perform other teller, clerical and administrative functions as assigned. 

Requirements

• Must have 2 years of teller experience
• Must have excellent customer service skills
• Must have a strong ability to sell to customer’s needs
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Must be detail oriented
• Must have professional and friendly communication skills
• Must have general math and computer skills
• Must have a positive and friendly attitude
