The Sr Design Engineer will play a pivotal role providing precast and cast-in-place reinforcing steel designs to current building codes and the specifications of the company's equipment and welders. This role demands a Professional Engineer with a proven track record in managing substantial projects and deep understanding of the engineering and design principles in a high-capacity manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead engineering design projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications and business goals
• Estimate productivity of mesh styles for pricing recommendations
• Work closely with production and sales to align engineering designs with market demands and company capabilities
• Document QC issues and communicate with customers and internal sales and production staff to resolve issues
• Participate in industry associations

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Engineering
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
• Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering design with significant experience in project management
• Demonstrated experience in production of wire mesh
• Familiarity with production equipment and material configurations
• Knowledge of ASTM material specifications an ACI building code requirements
• AutoCAD
• Salesforce CRM
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
