Job Description

We are seeking a Claims Support Rep to assist our Claims Examiner's and Customer Service Reps within our Assigned Risk department.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a support role, and be proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Are you organized, proactive, and efficient and LOVE making everyone's life easier?

This is a great role for you!*This position is an IN-OFFICE position working Monday - Friday 8am - 4 : 30pm EST in our Uniondale, NY office.

Job Summary : This role processes non-complex, non-technical claim related activities within established quality, productivity and process standards on specific losses as directed by management or a claim adjuster.

Key Responsibilities : Makes and maintains a connection with the customer by understanding and meeting their needsPerforms clerical duties, including data entry, filing paper documents, email, calendar management, and word processingHandles claim files (locates / requests files, files paperwork, reconstructs missing files, moves misfiled documents, sends to other offices, etc.

Retrieves, prints, faxes, or mails supporting documentation to vendors or others as directedReceives, screens and routes incoming telephone calls and other electronic correspondenceContacts or receives contact from customers or other claim related third parties to obtain and / or provide necessary file information to comply with quality and process standardsGenerates and sends appropriate forms to insured / claimant for completionCompletes all necessary forms, logs documents into the system, and routes them to the appropriate partiesPreferred Qualifications : Education and Experience High School DegreePrevious experience in either customer service and / or a related professional work environment preferredCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsNoneFunctional SkillsGood organization skills with timely follow-up skillsGood oral and written communication skillsKnowledge of Excel and WordPerforms routine tasks of basic complexity under general supervision

Compensation

$17 - 21 per hour
