Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with team members & partners on client engagements.
- Strong working knowledge of firm software and technology resources.
- Superior technical audit/assurance skills.
- Supervise, coach and mentor staff accountants.
- Planning, Scheduling, Workflow management, and Conflict resolution
- Assume full responsibility for completing projects
- Understand engagement partner expectations of the engagement and monitor deadlines and deliverables
- Balance and effectively deliver on multiple projects under restrictive time constraints
- Recognize opportunities to provide additional services and opportunities to be innovative in serving existing clients
- CPA or CPA Eligible
- 4 years of progressive audit experience in public accounting serving a variety of industries
- Experience particularly in the financial services, real estate, and manufacturing and distribution industries.
- Experience working with privately held companies, investment/private equity firms, professional services, financial services, and/or not for profit organizations is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with tax, tax-based financials
- Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Economics
- Strong accounting background and able to deal with complex accounting issues
- Must possess effective personnel management skills, including being able to effectively supervise, train and manage team members and/or subordinates
- Strong technical knowledge with a thorough understanding of generally accepted accounting and audit standards, procedures and techniques
- Must have excellent project and time management skills
- Must be able to be flexible in a variety of situations and be a team-player
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and advance technical skills
- Must be extremely detail-oriented
