- Maintain safe working environment by following all plant safety rules.
- Certified lift driver.
- Load bales on hoppers.
- Open bales safely and without contaminating the fiber.
- Document bale information on production report.
- Keep hoppers loaded with fiber.
- Can operate all winder controls.
- Can doff roll and start another roll following all operating procedures.
- Read and understand operating procedures and Spec Sheets.
- Document roll information on production report.
- Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide using calculator.
- Can cut tubes safely and to specification.
- Understands how to weigh rolls on off-line scale.
- Can wrap rolls safely and to specification.
- Perform assigned cleaning duties.
- Take waste buggies to waste house.
- Perform necessary duties during start up and shut down of line.
- Give breaks to other line operators.
- Change needles in needle boards while following all plant safety rules.
- Understand all quality requirements and perform inspections of the line while running.
- Complete all checklist assigned to the job.
- Able to perform minor preventative maintenance tasks such as lubrication.
- Any additional duties requested by manager.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Manufacturing experience a plus but not required
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Must possess good communication skills
- Must be able to lift 10 lbs.
- Occasionally lift 50 lbs.
